Rob Hardy called to say that he had seen and photographed a Common Crane at Grainthorpe Haven late afternoon. He had been trying to get pictures of the Hen Harrier that has been in the area for some time and had just about given up for the day when, at about 5.00 p.m., he saw a 'heron' type bird flying almost straight towards him from the north. Rob fired off several shots as the bird passed almost directly overhead and continued inland in a southerly direction. Another person was on the bank and asked Rob if he had got any shots as the bird was a Crane. I have put two of the pictures into the album.
