On the sharp bend near Foremans Bridge on the B1390 - intriguingly called Wanton's Cross Gate - on seed heads. Obligingly stayed there while we parked the car at the bridge and walked back! It may be that it's not too unusual around here but my birdwatching mentor has never seen one in the Fens.

There seem to be good numbers of Stonechats wintering in the fens this year. I have seen 3 in Dunsby Fen, 2 in Bourne Fen and 1 in Gosberton and Kirton Fens. Always a delight to see on a dull Winter day.
