Belated WeBs count today: Little Egret 1 Grey Heron 7 Mute Swan 57 Teal 43 Mallard 56 Tufted Duck 2 Moorhen 9 Coot 2 Lapwing 30 Redshank 10 Blackheaded Gull 2 Other sightings included: Pintail 5 on settling pits with large nos. of usual spp., esp Pochard. No time to count - not in my WeBs patch. Common Buzzard 3 Barn Owl 4 Kestrel 1 Marsh Tit 1 (Bottom Barff Wood) Martin Fen:- on way home Hen Harrier (ring tail) 1 |
