Local survey work including Atlas square TF 56K highlights

Green woodpecker
Great spotted woodpecker
brambling
rook 90
woodcock
brent goose 1300 - on wheat - the largest flock I have seen in the area this winter.
black brant - an adult appeared to be a full brant, with large collar but did not seem to meet in middle - I got some brief footage of this bird.
pale-bellied brent adult
merlin

Lowlight - massive departure of lapwing and golden plover form the area over last few days. Only 10 golden plover and 120 lapwing remaining in v large area covered. Also, fewere buntings around pheasant hoppers - there were 41 reed buntings around one feeder in December survey.

Also a roadside stonechat at Croft TF510610

Cheers

Kev
