With a forecast for a sunny afternoon I took the chance to go to Far Ings. Rain, Cloud and cold

The sun came out briefly as I left!!
Some of the birds however were full of the joys of spring. 2 Goldeneye mating, the male practically drowning the object of his affection, a Magpie collecting twigs and 2 GC Grebe "dancing" and displaying and the Coots behaving badly despite the ice! Although the weather diabolical the following were noted:
3 GC Grebe
6 Little Grebe
2 Willow Tit
2 Marsh Harrier (1m1f)
1 Sparrowhawk (m)
7 Goldeneye (5m2f)
1 Goldcrest
1 Treecreeper
20 Siskin
1 Redshank
1 GS Woodpecker
5 Meadow Pipit
Usual Tit sp and Water Birds
Also 3 Fox, 1 with an injured right hind leg
