Post subject:  Swanpool/Boultham mere 10/02.

The adult, winter plumaged, Mediterranean Gull, which I first saw very briefly over the mere on Sunday, was present again this afternoon.
It was flying over and feeding on a winter wheat field for about 10 minutes before moving off west. As on Sunday it was on its own.
The innermost primary on the right wing of this bird is displaced, sticking up from the rest of the wing at an angle, it does not appear to be loose as it does not flap in flight. This makes the bird very distinctive.
I would be interested in any other sightings of this bird.

Also present today:-
4 Pink-feet with 92 Greylags on flooded grass field.
2 Lapwings and 7 Skylarks on harvested potato field.
