Highlights of farmland surveys today were:- 1 female Sparrowhawk watched stood on the back of a struggling Wood Pigeon whilst plucking and eating the still living bird. 3 Woodcock flushed from cover. 3 Barn Owls hunting. 3 Great Spotted Woodpeckers. Flocks of 18, 29, 35, 41 and 90 Skylarks. 6 Tree Sparrows. 13 Yellowhammers. |
