Post subject:  Far Ings/Worlaby 1/2/09

Very cold, snowy and windy everywhere today.

Far Ings:

2 Redpoll (in alders near the old visitor centre)
1 Treecreeper
2 Grey Heron
Usual Tit sp
4 Reed Bunting (2m2f)
Usual Tufted Duck, Gadwall, Pochard and Shoveller.
A few Tree SParrow
1 Sparrowhawk (male)
No sign of the drake Smew (reported to be on Pursuit Pit yesterday)
A few GC Grebe/Little Grebe


Worlaby (half hour visit as a blizzard whipped up!):

3 Common Buzzard
1 Ringtail Harrier
1 Kestrel
Lots Fieldfare and Lapwings

Also on way home at Horkstow Top:

1 Common Buzzard (perched on ground at road side)
