White fronted geese - the 6 previously reported showing proudly Little egret - 6, including the one with the browny back somone posted a photograph of on this site. It has 3 rings - yellow and grey rings on its right leg with, I think, 66 on the yellow ring, and a pinky red ring on the left leg with the letter P Brent geese - just 2 on the ground, but large flocks flying towards and over Twite - c50 in two flocks that kept separating then coming together Goldfinch - flock of c40 Pintail - 1m Redshank - everywhere! c35 Largest group feeding together - 12 Curlew - c20 Teal Wigeon Mallard Heron - 2 Lesser black backed gulls - c30 Robin Reed bunting - 3 Pinkfoot - large flock coming in from Haven mouth Mute swan - 2 Lapwing Carrion crow Magpie - 3 Fieldfare - 8 Coot
Spoke to The Man from the RSPB on the way out - hoping for much of the new work to be ready for April. My first visit, but Jon had been before and he was amazed at what has been done already. If you haven't been for a while, take a look.
