You did better than us Mandy!
We visited Far Ings early afternoon and it was very quiet -though we did have 20+ Shoveler from Ness Hide. No sign of the drake Smew on either Ness or Hotel Pits.
We also walked from Pit 25 to New Holland & back - about 5 miles round trip. Large numbers of Coot & Tufted Duck on the various pits along the way and the usual good counts of Ruddy Duck. No sign of Whooper Swans at New Holland, but 114 Redshank there.

Roy.

Hi Roy, I couldnt locate the drake Smew either though I was told it had been present on Hotel Pit early morning.
