A bit underwatched and overshadowed by events to the north currently - things could have been different if Alex Lees had managed good views of the Locustella that he flushed on the saltings twice yesterday !

Anyway today.

Good visible migration of finches, larks, pigeons and pipits again on the south-westerlies.

Waxwing 15 south
Woodcock 10 (1 in off)
Woodpigeon 1500 south
Pinkfoot 150 south
Whitefronted goose 1 adult south with PFG's
Prob bean goose 1 south with above flock
Velvet scoter 2 with 60 common scoter
Crossbill 3 showing well in Beach Car Park (for last week)
Whopper swan 5 south
Chiffchaff 4 including the dingiest chiff I have ever seen in the UK - this bird has been around for about a week now, previosuly on the west dunes and now moved to Sykes Farm -it calls like a rock pipit !

Cheers

Kev
