Later ( per John Badley):

Little Auk 1 along the tide line

Waxwing 3, flew over going north, landed near the old Marine Hotel. 1 was still present in trees near the car -park 1-1.30pm when flushed by the inevitable dog walker & family.

** Heart sinks **

Dad wasn't able to take me this afternoon - and I've missed another lifer in Little Auk! Aside from Goosander, my luck with lifers has been pretty bloomin' rotten for a while and I really MUST be due a change in luck, especially as an operation is looming and I'll be inactive for ages afterwards......

** Heart plummets **

Can one of you Boston-local guys do a Jimmy Saville and 'fix it' for me?

There has been an influx of Waxwings Katherine, and during such times there are often birds in the Wyberton area, so look out for them locally. Often the "square" involving Tytton Lane, London road and the Spirit of Endeavour roundabout can be productive for them. Look out for them in any gardens having lots or red berry-bearing bushes.
