Hi

Had three Lapland buntings this morning flying around the grassland fields near the car park at Frampton Marsh. First of the autumn for me, but hopefully more will be coming.

You will be extremely lucky to see these birds on the ground, and in three winters here i've only managed to see them on the ground a couple of times! They are best looked for from either the seabank or the road down to the car park and wait for them to commute between the fields. And make sure you know the flight call...!!!

Paul.

Has anyone ever tried to bait these birds, like the ones at Salthouse where it seems to attract snow buntings, lapland buntings and turnstones in very good numbers??
