A showery morning on my local patch produced:- Little Grebe - 1 Cormorant - 5 Gadwall - c55 Teal - 20 Mallard - c15 Shoveler - c35 Pochard - 18 Tufted Duck - 20 Lesser Black-backed Gull - 16 Kingfisher - 1 Grey Wagtail - 1 flew over Blackbird - an obvious fall with c80 in bushes on W side of mere Redwing - c20 with Blackbirds Blackcap - 1 male in hedge S of main drain Siskin/Lesser Redpoll - mixed flock of c30 birds flying around Bullfinch - 1 male |
