Osprey showing well on and off and everywhere today, seen at Barton, both Far Ings and Waters Edge and Barrow Haven. We observed only one attempt (failed) at fishing on Ness Lake. First found early in the rain this morning, coming from Barrow area, with a mixed group of 20 gulls and Rooks mobbing it, then over Pit 25, then Sailing Pit. Then over Far Ings, back to Pasture Road then picked up again at Waters Edge. It has been fantastic and such a priveledge to see it so many times today, however from a photography point of view, every time it appeared the sun did not!!! Cant win em all!! Only other thing of note at Far Ings was Peregrine having a pop at a Rook. 2 Bar Tailed Godwit seen on Humber Bank near to the W.Edge visitor centre. Visit to Worlaby later today produced: 3 Marsh Harrier 3 Kestrel c30 Goldfinch 8 Fieldfare (all together and very vocal) 1 Common Buzzard 1 Barn Owl 1 SEO 1 Stonechat (m) M&M |
