Little Stint still there this evening, doesn't like having it's photo taken!

Still there today, Friday 4 p.m.. Posed quite nicely for me! 3 common sandpipers still there too. though they WERE camera-shy.
Cheers, Patrick

Hi Patrick

What I meant by 'doesn't like having its photo taken!' was in comparison to the last couple of Little Stints I have encountered.

http://www.pbase.com/nickclayton/image/103120525

http://www.pbase.com/nickclayton/image/87222254

I did get a photo of this bird and if it had been for example a Common Sandpiper I would have been quite pleased with the shot, but in comparison to a lot of Little Stints this one was rather camera shy, although you may prove me wrong.

Thanks
Nick

Hi Nick,
I'm fairly new at this photography lark, and after looking at your earlier great shots of a little stint, I know I still have a lot to learn. They are brilliant. Hope to meet you there sometime for a lesson!
Cheers, Patrick.

Hi Patrick

I'm not much more than a beginner myself when it comes to photographing birds at places such as Covenham and Toft Newton but have picked up a few tips from more experienced photographers for getting close-ups of some of the more obliging birds that turn up at these places, I would be happy to pass these on to you if I bump into you at Covenham some time. Thanks for the compliment regarding the little Stint photos.

Cheers
Nick
