Post subject:  RSPB Frampton Marsh - 30th August 2008

TIME: 14.45 - 17.00
WEATHER: Warm but windy.

Species seen:

Little Egret - 3, 1 ringed with yellow ring on right leg and red/orange ring on left leg
Lapwing - 100
Avocet - 4
Curlew - 1

Greater Black-backed Gull - 2
Black-headed Gull - 60
Herring Gull - 6

Kestrel - 2 hunting over marsh
Magpie - 1
Starling - 2 large flocks

Usual Woodpigeons

Few small groups of finches flying over, but couldn't get an ID.
Stoaty/Weaselly thing ran over access road.

Very quiet - was expecting more birds than there were, but then that's nature. Is there a particular good time to go to Frampton? Does it get totally covered at high tide?
