An early morning walk around;

Osprey - still along the R. Welland channel
Peregrine - 1
Marsh harrier - 2
Sparrowhawk - 3
Kestrel - 2
Little owl - 1
Greylag goose - 16
Teal - 86
Snipe - 36
Green sandpiper - 9
Greenshank - 7
Little egret - 5
Wheatear - 2
Goldfinch - 60
Linnet - 60
Yellow wagtail - 27
Lesser whitethroat - 1
Whitethroat - 2
Reed warbler - 2
Willow warbler - 7
Chiffchaff - 1
Fox - 1

Birds of the morning however, were a small flock of crossbills (number unknown as i was still in bed at the time!) that flew over Roads Farm this morning, a little before 7am.

Also, two kingfishers on site this morning, and two whimbrel.
