New Lake: early afternoon Oystercatcher - 2 Alkboro: early afternoon Little Egret - 1 Peregrine - 1 Marsh Harrier - 1 Greenshank - 3 Common Sands Black-tailed Godwit Shoveler Mallard Hirundines Linnets Shelduck Grey Heron Plus two pals who were in one of the hides whom I hadn't seen lately and we had a good laugh about this and that ![]() Chowder Ness: mid afternoon Redshank - 3 Curlew Shelduck Dunlin Called at Far Ings but very quiet. Sailing Pit: late afternoon Common Tern - 2 Gadwall + juvs Littel Grebes Pasture Wharf: late afternoon Knot - 20 Turnstone - 15 Lapwing - 20 Ruff - 3 Curlew - 5 Ringed Plover - 5 Pit 25 Wigeon - 1 in eclipse Worlaby: early evening Marsh Harrier - 2 Yellowhammer - 1m Meadow Pipit - 3 juvs Curlew - 9 Kestrel - 1 Regards John |

God John yer getting around a bit your really trying.good for you.might you not think of stopping in one place a little longer and hopefully something great like a little bittern/needle tailed swift/pallid/little swift/terek sandpiper/pallid harrier-might drop in-still at least your trying. Grennshanks are getting rarer nowadays,It was katherine who asked me backto this forum-so ?!-,if i see a Goshawk,id report it and then head for the shelter pronto!!!. Seriously thou,im keeping out of bickering from now on,....just a relapse recently,and concentrate on submitting bird sightings. rg |
