MSQ: 13.30 x 14.15 Cetti's Warbler showing every now and then about 50 yds past dipping platform. Long-eared Owl - 2 [seen from Grebe Lake] Goldcrest - 1 Long-tailed Tit - 12 Barton: 15.00 x 15.40 Drake Smew and pair of Goldeneye seen on Hotel Pit. Whimbrel seen going west. Worlaby Carrs: 16.00 x 16.45 Female Hen Harrier Barn Owl - 1 SEO - 2 Common Snipe - 2 [over south] When I arrived at Worlaby thought maybe a Rough-legged was there, the place was overflowing with birders! Hi Max, The Whimbrel sighting is a great record as it's very late in the year for this species. I've only seen Curlews in November, never any Whimbrels. Chris |
