Took my guests out to some Lincs hotspots today. Cov Res Gt N Diver Donna Nook Twite 70+ one in a flock of c.20 in the overflow car park had a red leg ring. Anyone know its origin? I have been manning the wildcoast event/ display in the lifeboat centre thru fri sat, so some time to seawatch from the 1st floor balcony. fri sightings inc 1 long tail duck f, 5 little auk n, 2 mergs s, suprisingly didn,t see a skua, 7 gannet s, 21 cormorant s, 132 sanderling on beach. sat, 1shag s 2 little auk north,3 gannets s, 1 med gull. John, The colour ringed twite is probably one ringed on a project in the Manchester area - there was a thread about them a few months ago. |
