Pre-work stomp around local patch at Trent Port (Marton) produced a fly-over waxwing at 8am. The bird seemed to land in hawthorns near the windmill but I couldn't relocate it.
There does seem to have been a big influx of winter birds here over the last day or two with the following totals this morning:
Fieldfare 500
Redwing 300
Mistle Thrush 30
Song Thrush 15
Blackbird 25
Bullfinch 10 (most I've seen this year)
Redpoll 25
Siskin 2
Stonechat 1m
Cheers
Brian
