Good coverage today night heron red-necked phalarope lapland bunting yellow-browed warbler 2-3 great grey shrike puffin long-tailed skua petrel sp firecrest ring ouzel 14 knot 65000 bonxie 7 arctic skua 4 little gull 86 hen harrier pied flycatcher 4 redstart 5 brambling 30 (8 ringed) turtle dove quite good numbers of goldcrest, redwing, song thrush and various finches. Geoff We usually seawatch from the middle set of dunes seaward of Mill Hill which gives a bit of height and a bit of shelter when its really rough - but you can miss stuff going close on occsions - apparently an arctic skua flew low and abot 5m in front of us yesterday ! When its not too windy, you can get onto the outer dune ridge. Regards Kev |
