Post subject:  Branston Island 27/09.
Spent 3.5 hours there this morning but no sign of Dowitcher or Pec.
Birds present included:-
4 Pintail
2 Ringed Plovers
c130 Golden Plover over
5 Grey Plovers
C70 Lapwing
3 Little Stint
9 Curlew Sandpipers
21 Dunlin
3 Ruff
c30 Snipe
1 Greenshank

Just after I had got home Russell rang to say the Dowitcher was showing!

Long-billed Dowitcher present this afternoon, viewed from Witham Bank.

Also near the Car parking area just before the bridge over the Sincil Drain:

5 Mistle Thrush
4 Pied Flycatcher
10 Long Tailed Tit
