c200 greylag geese 30 canada goose also 1 odd looking goose that was with the greylag,it was similar size similar colouring apart from a white neck,brown band down the rear of neck and along the top of the head,black bill with a white patch behind. having checked my wildfowl id book it looks very like swan goose(anser cygnoides) but it can,t be can it? boultham mere sparrowhawk male and female 18 male pochard 12 female 40 shoveler 2 kingfisher 50 lbb gull 43 bh gull i,m not sure about the goose, standing by for abuse/incredulity! |

having googled swan goose it does look very much like the one i saw but i,m still not 100% or 50% happy if i,m honest |

Most likely to be the domesticated version called Chinese Goose. It is unlikely that a wild Swan Goose would make it this far from Siberia/China. |

yea did think that it wouldn,t have come from china, fair enough i,ll put it down as the domesticated version. still it confused the hell out of me and got the pulse going. |
