Approx 3hrs birding from 10.30.hrs
female peregrine
2 marsh harrier a tatty female & juv
1 hobby
1500 approx golden plover
200 curlew
150 redshank
10 lapwing
3 wheatear
4/5 greenshank
3 common sands
2 kingfisher
few shelduck
8 little egret
5 heron
75 house martin heading south.
The waders were being flushed by the harriers hence the large count plus a pervert running aroung the dykes in the nude he was about 30 years old fair to ginger hair, natural i can vouch for that. But he really had nothing to brag about. Anyway i cleared off he was getting closer and covered with mud.

Interesting observation Terry. I saw something similar at Rimac a few weeks ago. A stork bustard naked man rolling in mud but too far away and too muddy to discern any detail. Probably the same person and with any luck a passage migrant!

it does indeed seem we have seen a mud rolling HOMO SAPIENS of a previously undiscribed species and bearing in mind Katherines remarks i think i shall write a scientific paper on the sighting.
The said HOMO SAPIENS with your permission i think i shall label him ERECTUS MINIMUS, what does the team think ? :lol: :wink: .

I think that this has gone a little too far....

Is the birding really that bad/boring up in North Lincs at the moment? :roll:

sorry point taken, no offence mean't but i always do my postings with light hearted banter and it was a factual occurance that actually ruined a reasonable birding session. the rest was just a play on words i did not mean to offend.

Fair play, but it says something about the state of modern day birding if the most interesting sighting was some naked madman!
