First sighting of a Buzzard over my back fields so well pleased - I guess the thermals aided it across the fens this afternoon - not sure if Common or Honey, ideas? Followed it for a good ten minutes as it soared ever closer South then when it was directly overhead it was joined by a second raptor which came from nowhere and intercepted the first three times before I lost them both in the sun - I couldn't make a positive Id but the second looks to be a rather weather beaten buzzard - anyone? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I might have seen them wafting in the direction of Freiston Shore..... been there today, and saw two raptor-like flyers high up in the sky...... |

Mark, they are both Common Buzzards. The first is a young bird and the other, a fairly worn adult. Alan |
