3 Little Egret in flooded field North of Short Ferry today. Also on "Branston Island" (the area that is flooded to relieve the River Witham during floods) 20+ Snipe 30+ Shelduck 300+ Black headed Gulls 10 Heron 1 Hobby 30+ Tufted Duck 30+ Canada Geese 100+ Lapwing There is still a lot of water in the fields at Branston island and it should be good for passage waders. There is no public access but good views can be had from the Witham bank at Bardney Lock. |
