A couple of hours there early this morning;

Numerous Black Headed Gulls
18 Shelduck
1 Dunlin
1 Oystercatcher
3 Ringed Plover
1 Skylark
8 Curlew
2 Pied Wagtail
5 Linnets
1 Whimbrel
1 Redshank
1 Kestrel
2 Avocet
6 Lapwing

It's a mudflat area on the west side of Far Ings NR.

I think it's a newish area which has been created by Lincs Wildlife Trust.

correction created by ABP and Env Agency as a managed retreat / compensation for destruction of mudflats in Immingham Docks area; ad and 2 juv Little Ringed Plovers in recent days

there are interpretation boards around the site which give all the details about the scheme and show you what birds you can expect to see etc--designed and produced by a very good couple of local companies!!!!!!

Steve/Graham,

My apologies for not knowing the origin of these mudflats. I have only been a couple of times and I haven't seen the interpretaion boards mentioned by Graham.

I'll make sure I do my research next time :)
