Sparrowhawk attempting to take either a Juvenile starling or female blackbird!!!!!!! That's two visits in a year Sparrowhawk-wise!!!! It saw me coming to the window, and flew off before the prey was killed! I've saved a bird's life! |

I hope you are not surprised to find that by providing food to attract birds to your garden you are also attracting predators to feed on the birds you are feeding! There is nothing more thrilling than to see a master hunter at work. |
