A quiet day round the lagoon produced:

Many black-headed Gulls with chicks growing nicely
10 Herring Gulls with 4 young in first-summer plumage
7 Common Terns in good voice
10 Canada Geese
5 Oystercatchers with 2 chicks
7 Avocets with 3 chicks
2 Swallows
Kestrel on the way there
Usual Mallards
3 Ducks that were dark with a vivid yellow eye - might have been Goldeneye, Tuftie or Scaup - couldn't see them clearly
Usual pigeons
1 House Sparrow
1 Chaffinch

2 Common Terns attempted a divebomb on me!!

No raptors or owls - :(

Most likely Tufted Ducks.
Goldeneye in winter, Scaup rare at this time of year, and inland.
