Birds seen on the realignment area and the adjacent shore included 5 Whooper Swans, 500 Brent Geese, 900 Shelducks, 220 Teal, 135 Wigeon, 480 Redshanks, a Kingfisher, a Chiffchaff, 3 Rock Pipits, 3 Siskins, 31 Twite and a Merlin. 270 Pink-footed Geese flew south.
