Many of the thrushes at the south end departed to the SW when the cloud lessened for a couple of hours. Migrant totals included 550 Redwings, 250 Blackbirds, 60 Song Thrushes, 2 Ring Ouzels, 20 Robins, 3 Stonechats, 3 Bramblings, 10 Lesser Redpolls, a Blackcap and a Yellow-browed Warbler. Also of note were 3 Rock Pipits, 10 Brent Geese, 4 Whooper Swans, a Red-throated Diver, a Hen Harrier and a late Hobby. With Martin Sizer. |
