The sea was much quieter at the south end , highlights being 43 Gannets, 35 Common Scoters, one Eider, 6 Wigeon and a Pintail north and 2 Great Skuas and 4 Red-throated Divers south. 33 Lapwings came in from the sea. Thermalling raptors over the fields were 10 Common Buzzards, 3 Sparrowhawks and a Marsh Harrier; all gradually peeled away to the south. Three non-moving Common Buzzards and another Sparrowhawk were also seen. The dunes remain quiet, most noteworthy being a Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Ruff. Some Pink-footed Geese were heard heading south.
