Location: Swanpool, Lincoln
Spotted Flycatcher in cow field hedge this morning.
Also c15 Whitethroats, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Blackcaps & 6 Chiffchaffs.
4 Yellow Wagtails feeding amongst cows & Grey Wagtail flew over calling.

2 Tawny Owls calling from Catchwater copse this afternoon.
Also 6 Swifts over.

I was lucky enough to track down the SpotFly this afternoon after it had gone missing for a time. It was flycatching from the dead branches of a low tree in the hedge of the second cowfield on the left. After about 20 minutes it had worked its way round to the back of the tree and virtually out of sight.

Pleased to meet up with Andy.......many thanks for the lead.
