Bob Sheppard and Alan Ball climbed St. James tower this morning and ringed the 3 chicks, thought to be 2 male, 1 female. Verger Chris Marshall fitted a new camera, paid for out of the peregrine book sales and a generous donation from Mike Tarrant. Unfortunately, we discovered today that the storm of 27 May not only damaged the camera, but also the video cable. That will be an expensive and time-consuming repair, so no more images this year, though the chicks will be leaving the nest in 10 days anyway.
