Found a drake Green-winged Teal with 18 Common Teal at Boultham mere this morning, only the 2nd record for the patch.

Also on patch this morning:-
Waxwings in cow field hedge, gone up from 7 yesterday to 8 today
2 singing Chiffchaffs
1 Willow Tit
11 Lesser Redpolls
1 Siskin

35 common teal out in the middle when I arrived. Ten minutes later you wouldn't have known there was one as they disappeared in to the reeds taking the green-winged teal with them. Tw bullfinch and a kingfisher were also present adjacent to the mere
