Not seen much mention of geese of late: in Goxhill marsh yesterday there were still c 1000 Pink feet but the flock was spooked by an expletive on a trials bike and split into two: the birds that remained held 68 White fronts some still in family parties but the majority were clearly separating into pairs.

Took a walk from East Halton Skitter to Goxhill Haven this morning whilst carrying out WeBS count. The geese were still in the area as recorded yesterday by Graham. In one field I counted 90 White Fronted Geese. In the neighbouring field there were approximately 400 Pink-footed Geese, which were extremely nervous.

Two skeins of Pink-footed Geese comprising circa 200 birds flew NW this morning over Donna Nook.
