A cracking Black Brant accompanied ca. 770 Brent Geese on a cereal field south of the old coastguard cottages. Six Whooper Swans were also on the fields. Passerines on the tide-wrack opposite the Quad 3 building were 18 Shore Larks, 50 Skylarks, 5 Rock Pipits, 20 Yellowhammers, 20 Reed Buntings, 18 Twite, one Robin and 2 Stonechats. 20 Twite were on the beach north of here and a Lapland Bunting flew over and around. Six Red-throated Divers were on the sea, but passage was confined to a trickle of gulls and Cormorants to the south. Birds onshore include an adult Yellow-legged Gull, 206 Curlews, 142 Bar-tailed Godwits, 650 Knot, 450 Dunlin, 7 Turnstones and 250 Sanderling.
