Location: Swanpool, Lincoln
A spectacular murmuration of Starlings at the mere this evening. First birds appeared over the mere at about 15:30 and numbers built to about 9000 by 16:05. All the birds settled into the reeds at 16:10. A Sparrowhawk had several hunting attempts but was not successful.
