Visit yesterday evening (10th) - site very dry with water only in a few central pools. Significant concentration in these pools of grey heron (9) and little egrets (8 last night; 13 earlier in the day) with the herons taking some sizeable fish Otherwise, 3 greenshank, 1 ruff and 1 snipe the only waders of interest. Previous evening (9th) at Baston fen - two whimbrel flying over heading SW down the Glen was of note. Vin All records on Bird Track |
