Post subject:  Hill Holt

I put the feeders out yesterday for the first time this Autumn at Hill Holt Wood and there was activity within minutes.
Blue Tits, Great Tits, Coal Tits, a group of Long Tailed Tits, Nuthatch, up to 3 at a time, Great Spotted woodpecker, Chaffinches, with always the chance of a Brambling mixed in.
There is a Sparrowhawk around as well.
A walk in the woods will produce Treecreepers, Goldcrests, Jays collecting acorns, Bullfinches and Goldfinches.
The cafe is open every Sunday from 10am till 4pm and affords great views of the birds. You can watch them in comfort and warmth.........and perhaps enhance the experience with some excellent Homemade Honey cake, made from our own honey.

Cheers,

Oliver
