Three Black Terns headed north at sea this morning along with 17 Common Terns, 3 Sandwich Terns, 2 Gannets, 8 Cormorants and 40 Common Scoters. An Arctic Skua flew south. I was unable to verify a report of 2 Spoonbills dropping onto the flashes at 0645, but did see 11 Little Egrets, 5 Greenshanks, Common Snipe and a Common Sandpiper. On the dunes were 10 Kestrels, a Common Buzzard, 8 Willow Warblers, 12 Common Whitethroats, one Lesser Whitethroat, 7 Reed Warblers, a Blackcap, a Goldcrest, 2 Yellow Wagtails, a Wheatear and a Pied Flycatcher. A party of 14 Common Swifts flew high to the north.
