I have collated and taken part in the International Swan survey of 17/8 01 15 ( Thanks to sightings from Garry Wright and Steven Lorand) our surveys 15 to 18 01 15 counts from 8 sites between Huttoft and North Cotes totals as follows Whooper swan 152, Mute swan 77 , Bewick swan 6. and mute swan 5 at Frampton Sunday Ed Mackrill and I have age surveyed ( all in Lincolnshire) 5628 dark bellied brent of which 1429 are first year birds so a very good breeding success in 2014. Hen Harrier roost survey 170115 non seen only BoP 1 short eared owl regards John |
