Whilst walking with a group this morning . Nuthatch - heard then seen in the vicinity of the boathouse. It has become something of a local rarity at this location in recent times Kingfisher (male ) seen to catch a fish from a branch in the river section of the lake . On Swanholme all the usual suspects Gadwall , wigeon , mallard , shoveler . Gooseander numbers are now 8 males and 9 females . Red crested pochard male still present 3 Jays seen on the return walk to the visitor centre . |
