Post subject:  Donna Nook, 5th October.

Southerly raptor passage was the highlight at the south end this morning with counts of 13 Common Buzzards, 7 Kestrels, Peregrine and 2 Sparrowhawks. Also of note were 19 Common Snipe, a Jack Snipe, Great Spotted Woodpecker, 10 Long-tailed Tits, 45 Reed Buntings, 140 Meadow Pipits, 4 Grey Wagtails and a Stonechat.

Combined sightings from Chris Heaton, Mark Johnson & myself between Ponderosa & the N end of the realignment today included:

1 Yellow-browed Warbler
1 Goosander
3 Greenshank
4 Common Buzzard
1 Peregrine
3 Merlin
1 Kingfisher
1 Great Spotted Woodpecker
1 Wheatear
2 Stonechat
2 Chiffchaff
3 Goldcrest
