Despite the very high morning tide, bird numbers were disappointing between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall and around the realignment area. The best waders were 8 Greenshanks, 3 Spotted Redshanks, 2 Black-tailed Godwits, 14 Avocets, Wood Sandpiper, 2 Common Sandpipers, 6 Ruffs and a Little Stint. Also of note were 3 Marsh Harriers, Osprey, 2 Mediterranean Gulls, 30 Little Egrets, 60 Teal, a Brent Goose, 2 Willow Warblers and 9 Yellow Wagtails.
