A walk around the re-alignment area produced a nice selection of birds with the highlights as follows:

Whimbrel a group of four, a single by Pyes Hall and a flock of 45
Ruff x 2
Little Egret x 40 (including one colour-ringed bird)
Redshank x 40
Dunlin x 20
Greenshank x 6
Red Knot
LRP
Ringed Plover x 5
Avocet x 25
Sandwich Tern x 4
Marsh Harrier - a female and a juvenile
Sedge Warbler feeding young
Lots of Swallows and Yellow Wags
Kestrel

Quiet at the south end this morning, hence 2 Willow Warblers, 6 Lesser Whitethroats, 6 Green Sandpipers, 11 Common Snipe, 3 juvenile Marsh Harriers, 10 Sandwich Terns and an Arctic Skua.
