Popped up for about an hour this evening (wet grassland only):- Dunlin x c1300 Snipe x c25 Knot x 12 Wood Sandpiper x 5 Green Sandpiper x 3 Curlew Sandpiper x 2 Common Sandpiper x 2 Little Ringed Plover x 1 Birds were still dropping in as I left. I didn't even try to count the Black-tailed Godwit, Redshank or Ruff. Got a feeling something might crop up tomorrow. We're about due a Pectoral Sandpiper or a White-rumped Sandpiper. Wouldn't mind if the Black-winged Pratincole found its way back onto the Lincs side of The Wash either! Either way, with High Tide at 0820 tomorrow, I reckon an early birder might be able to rise to Mr Badley's challenge if they decided to have a stab. |
