The annual emergence of flying ants on our small estate at Market Rasen began at 6.15pm today and lasted for under an hour. It was accompanied by a mixed flock of c250 Black-headed and Common Gulls. Surprisingly there were no Starlings or hirundines amongst them to enjoy the feast. |
